CarePAK vs. CPS

jrobe1111

Hello!  Former Nikon user new to Canon.  I am also a CPS Gold member.
Should I also buy a CarePAK for my equipment or does CPS cover these repairs, etc?  I can't seem to find an easy way to compare features and differences.
Thanks for your help!

Hello jrobe1111, glad to have you aboard! The CarePAK is considered additional coverage to your initial manufacturer's warranty adding accidental damage coverage as well as image recovery service. CPS does not offer things like that but does offer quicker turnaround times on service and loaner opportunities for you. As a Gold member you get discounts on repairs and free return shipping and 5 free CMS (Canon Maintenance Service) per year. The CarePAK would get you free shipping as well however, both to and from the factory service center and one free CMS per year for each year of your coverage period. I have included a link HERE that provides more information on CarePAKs and HERE for more information on the specifics of a Gold CPS membership.
