Hi. Please need some assistance. I have a canon 750d that does not switch on when i insert the sd card inside the camera. Once i eject the sd card and switch on the camera it switches on and i can do functions as usual but once i put in an sd card no powering up. Is the sd card slot damaged? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you are having issues.  When did this problem begin?

What type of SD card are you using?  Brand?  Storage capacity?  Is it a full size card?

Thanks for the reply. I have a 128gb, c10 , xc I and a 64gb c10 xc I. I have tried it on another 750d camera they work. The camera i now have connected to the pc via the software and i can shoot n take pictures straight to the pc. As soon as i try camera to pc with card inside still no power.

Definitely sounds like an issue associated with the SD card or card slot.

Are you using full size SD cards?  What brand?  Can you post a photo of one?

Since the cards work in a different camera I would focus attention on the card slot.

Look into the slot with a flashlight and see if you see any foreign material or any bent pins.

I would suggest that OP try a 32 GB or smaller. Older Canon cameras cannot use 32 GB or larger cards.

I know that older cameras often cannot use or format. 64 GB or larger cards so I that maybe one cause.

I agree. The older Rebels seem to choke on SDXC cards.  I know what the manual says.

My wife has a T6s (an upscale version of the T6i/750D). Works fine with a 128 MB SDXC card.
