Adjusting Tamron 150-600 G2 for the Canon 90D?

I purchased the Tamron 150-600 G2 lens and the new Canon 90D camera.  Am having fun getting to know this equipment.  The Tamron lens came packaged with the Tap-in Console.  I checked to be sure firmware is up to date on the lens, but are there any adjustments to the lens with the tap-in for the Canon 90D camera?  Have done some searching but not finding anything out there.  Perhaps the camera is too new for those suggestions.

Spend some time taking lots of still shots with it first. Action shots are good, still shots from a tripod at varying distances will tell you more about how well the lens is performing.

In fact, I would not bother making any adjustments to either the camera or lens for several months. Get some shots on the shutter using a variety of your lenses.

No, --- don't mess with it for now. It probably doesn't need any anyway. Tamron may come out with new FW that includes instructions for the 90D but not yet.

What ever you do, don't fall for the myth that you can make a good lens even a more 'gooder' lens with the lens dock or Tap-in or micro focus adjustment.  You can't, a lens is as good or sharp as it will ever be the day it is born.  All the focus adjustment tools do is move the pin point focus in or out in reference to the camera film plane.

But isn't that a distinction without a difference? If the lens is out of adjustment relative to the camera and you correct that (via autofocus microadjustment, for example), the effective performance of the lens is gooder. Right?

The "effective performance" of the lens is enhanced but the overall sharpness or IQ remains the same.  It is not an artifact that can be changed after manufacture which is the myth that is associated with it.
