Hello all,
I have formatted both cards (several times) and the "Shots Remaining Counter Countdown" display won't shift from 12 even though I would have hundreds of shots to go on both formated cards. I've tried switching cards with others, turning off the camera and removing the battery etc. no luck. Any ideas? TIA

Are you sure you're not talking about the burst shooting. On my old EOS 40D the display maxes at "99" even though I can shoot more than that. My 5D Mark IV can shoot more in burst though usually it displays "500" usually. I'm not in front of my 5D Mark IV to see how many shots I can do in a burst. But I believe that was the last number I saw it at. https://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0/0300024970/01/eos5d-mk4-im-en.pdf

I also think I must have got confused because I use an R6 and the counter is on the display screen you have shown...

Yes it is. Most Canon cameras have the display in the same place.

Thank you! I have had this camera for years and must have had a 'blonde moment'! Overtired I guess..yes you are correct and the counter is on the top glass section. Thanks a million!!
