5d Mark IV downloading 2 versions of the same RAW file

My 5d Mark IV has recently started downloading two versions of the same shot when I import via Photoshop. I only have one card onboard and the camera shows only one version when I review in camera. I've updated the firmware to 1.33 today, but that doesn't fix the problem.

Any ideas?

Can you provide more info? Do you perhaps have RAW + JPEG selected in the image selection?

This has sometimes happened to me with Image Capture. I find I have to re-format the card in the camera.

Hi John,

I've got RAW set to highest quality, JPEG turned off, as is Dual RAW. I only have a single card in camera.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried that but still get the same issue

Just ran the download using EOS Utility 3 and it worked fine, so looks like an issue with Adobe Bridge

Not saying it isn't a fault in Bridge but Bridge it has never done that with my cameras.  I have used it for years but I don't have the latest version. I would do a format and/or replace the CF card(s).

In the future never upgrade FW just because you are seeing a malfunction.  Find out first if the FW is the culprit by reading the upgrade details and what it corrects. Upgrading FW on a malfunctioning camera can be really bad.

If the FW simply updates a language you don't use or a lens(es) you don't have there is no reason to do it.

Thanks, I did the FW update because others with a similar problem (admittedly on Mac) suggested it. I also formatted the card first but no luck. I will try other cards though, so thanks for that suggestion.

Lightroom allows a copy to be downloaded during import. Maybe Bridge does that and it got inadvertently selected.

OK, I am using a Windows machine. Perhaps it is an issue with Bridge and Mac OS.
