Lens Suggestions for new T5i User

Hey y'all um looking at the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM Len for moon shots and possibly landscaps. What do you think of this lens, and please keep in mind it is not an every shoot use lens so that's why I'm looking for something around the 300...
