Powering Canon R5C and RF 24-105 F2.8 USM Z LENS together through one connection 8K RAW LT

Recently I have been stumped with an issue I hope you can help me solve. I have a rig with the R5C and the RF 24-105 mm z lens. I'm looking to record in RAW 8k LT 60 FPS. I have an external battery power supply that requires a DTap to Dummy Battery connection to power the camera and a USBC PD from the camera to the Battery to power the lens (otherwise it states there is not enough power being delivered for the lens). Is there a way to power both the lens and the camera through a dummy battery or other means. The reason I ask is because I need to USBC port on the camera to be free to plug in a different device that needs it. Maybe using a dummy batter to USBC to the battery will fix it? I'm not really sure. Hope you know more than I do and can help me, much appreciated!!

Hello! So the splitter worked (but not entirely) it worked only sometimes it was very unreliable. I did however find a different solution. I used the canon official dummy batter combined with an 8V cable plugged into my external battery to power it through DTap. The camera accepts the canon dummy as being able to use the cameras full recording capabilities.

Greetings,

Can you provide more information about the gear / equipment?  You can power the camera with a Dtap to dummy battery.  I believe KondorBlue is one of the few that supports 8k/60.  The others only support 30

I've also seen this done with a compatible "Y" cable for the USB-C port.  This way you can power the camera & lens, and have a connection for the "other device"  Care to tell us what that device is?

The camera needs at minimum 45w 9v and 3 amps for PD.

Hi! Currently using the Dtap Dummy battery provide by Smallrig: https://a.co/d/9NY0rnq seems to work fine. Then I have a 240w compatible usbc to usbc also going into external power supply for camera lens. The external power supply is the Smallrig VB212 battery: https://a.co/d/7DQUx9D the other device I want to be plugged in that requires a usbc connection is Smallrig’s new Rotating Side Handle with Trigger REC for Select Canon & BMD Cameras: B&H#SM5235

If you know of a compatible Y cable for the canon r5c usbc port that should probably solve my issue, but I couldn’t find one myself for sure.
