Hello.
Is the unit being used wirelessly or with a direct USB connection to your computer?
Also, tell us what version of Windows or Mac OSX is on the computer.

It is wireless and it is on windows 8.

Hi hmstoner,
We will want to make sure that the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility is running and that the MP Navigator program is set to recognize the printer when scanning from the operation panel. To do this, please follow the steps located at the link below:
