scanner not working on canon mx492 firmware 4.040 on Mac mini sequoia 15.1.1

Hi, please help if you can.

The scanner on my canon mx492 with firmware 4.040 on a Mac mini running sequoia 15.1.1 is not visible and does not work.  The printing works fine.

Do we need to wait for a new firmware update or have I done something wrong with my firmware update?  4.040 seems to be the current version available and I do not have the option to "start" the firmware update again (it's greyed out).

If you review the list of supported operating systems, Sequoia is not included.  It's possible Sonoma drivers might work, you can try.
