I have a G6020 that is less than 9 months old ( purchased 8/20/25)>
About 5 weeks ago i found it in the a.m with a flashing green light and flashing yellow alert and the display indicating "Error 6901: Printer error has occurred" I followed instructions i found on the Canon site(manual):
If you experience 6901 or 6910 error on your printer, turn it off and plug it directly into a known working outlet.
Unit was s plugged into a working outlet
Also, disabling IPv6 may help to resolve this issue.Follow the procedure below to disable IPv6: (redacted)
I was unable to locate a place to disable IPv6 on this unit
After being powered down for about 20 minutes i plugged it back in and it powered up and worked fine without issue. for about about 10 days, then it did it again.
I ran same powered own and unplug procedure for about 20 minutes and once re-powered and then i also saw a firmware update available so i ran that without issue. It worked fine until yesterday and it is currently in the error state, same Error: 6901 it seem this is going to persist and the unplugging isn't going to resolve the issue.
The unit is connected via WiFi to and ATT 1GB fiber network

What is my next best step? ( and i am curious what this error is?)
