If your Canon PIXMA G6020 shows a “5200” ink cartridge/maintenance error, follow Canon’s steps in this exact order:

  1. Check ink levels on the printer. Refill the ink tanks if any are low.
  2. Turn the printer off, then unplug it.
  3. Plug it back in and turn it on.
  4. Run Print Head Cleaning.
  5. Run Ink Flush (Canon says no Deep Cleaning is required).

If the 5200 error comes back after doing the above, Canon indicates it may be fixed by replacing the print heads; if it still recurs after print-head replacement, you’ll need Canon service. manual.canon

Also, if your Ink Flush stops early (before it finishes), try running the Ink Flush again without doing an off/on power cycle in between—when users stop early, repeating the flush usually completes successfully. canon.com

Reply with the exact code text you see (e.g., “5200”, “B200”, etc.) and whether Ink Flush starts and then stops, and we can narrow the next step.
