Hi Guys,
I just bought the PIXMA G2200 printer and I have noticed that as soon as I power it up, it makes clunking noises and you can hear the printer heads go side to side for around 10-12 seconds or so. Then, after I print even one page -after around 20-25 seconds- it makes similar noises for almost as long of a time.
Is this normal?
I am thinking that perhaps the machine is cleaning the heads after each use and also maybe priming the lines to remove any possible air.
Thanks very much in advance.
Take Care

Hi thedude2112,
The noises that your PIXMA G2200 make when starting up and printing are from the purging and cleaning processes. This is normal.

Thanks so much.
That really makes me feel better.
In my mind, I thought it had to do with trying to keep the heads from getting clogged and more importantly, maybe to keep the lines from not being primed and free of air pockets.
All the best.
Take Care Patrick!
