keep getting error Code:15,156,0 . The only way it will scan now is though "Image Capture'

Another new problem...i'm using a Canon MG7520 with a Mac running Yosemite. I'm trying to scan using Canon IJ Scan Utility and i keep getting this error. The only way it will scan now is with Image Capture. any suggestions? The firewall is off btw
