I have a i900d printer but it is stuck in maintenance mode. How do I get it to start working??

MX 870 won't scan

Can't scan from printer anymore.  I get a message saying it can't start the MP  Navigator EX.  I went to the website and downloaded it again, but it still won't scan.Any ideas, it used to work.

Driver for Windows 8

I have Windows 8 (64bit) on my PC, with a Canon MP 600 printer. Canon does not offer a driver for this arrangement. Can any one help, I can not use my printer.
