I have a recently purchased a PIXMA MG2522 . My computr is an iMac. I have tried to activate the scanner
with no success. The necessary driver has been downloaded, but the iMac keeps saying it cannot communicate
with the scanner. the MG2522 connection is with a USB.

My OS on the Mac is Monterey 12.7.2 and the connection to the PIXMA MG2522 is by USB port.
With the help of Apple Support I found the Canon Support page and downloaded the scanner driver.
A canon IJ Scan Utility 2 icon appeared on the dock, and that's as far as it went! Clicking on it just
brings up a message that the Mac cannot communicate with the scanner because of a list of possible
wrong reasons like: the scanner is not on or try another USB port. Help!!!

Hi,
If you only installed IJ Scan Utility, please go back to the support page and download/install the ICA Driver Ver.5.0.0 file as well. Then open IJ Scan Utility and try to scan again.
