TR8620a Printer - Scanner problem.

Hi,  My Canon Ink Jet TR8620a printer is not even a month old and there is a problem with the scanner.  It worked fine until about a week ago.  Here's an attached photo of the problem.

You can see there are several areas where the scanner does not properly scan.  I've tried scanning with numerous documents and they all have the same problem.

Question:  Anyone know of a fix?   Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Register your device on the Canon website and arrange for warranty work.
