TR8520 is printing some fuzzy black text

My Canon printer (connected to a desktop Dell PC running Windows 10) recently started to print some fuzzy text on some of the lines on a page. I ran a nozzle print check and saw some blurred lines on the lower part of PBGK pattern; the color patterns looked fine. I assumed I had some debris in the PBGK portion of the print head and ran a cleaning cycle, which had no effect. I then did some manual cleaning of the print head, soaking it in a solution of 10 parts water, 2 parts isopropanol and 1 part ammonia. This had no effect on the nozzle print pattern or printed text. I did an overnight soaking of the print head in the same solution and wiped the pins contacting the print head on the printer, but the results were unchanged. I also replaced the black PBGK cartridge with a new one, with no effect.  See attached nozzle check results and sample text. I have since done a deep cleaning of the print head to no effect. I could try cleaning the timing strip, but not quite sure how to access it. Thank you, in advance, for any suggestions.

Thanks for joining the conversation, fix4all9!

It looks like the attached nozzle check and sample text images didn't make it over.  Feel free to post them in a reply so that the Community can get a better idea of what you're dealing with.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for your response. I couldn't see how to post the nozzle print and sample text files. I saw buttons for posting photos, videos, tables and links (insert/edit link). The last button was asking for a url. How do I upload those files? Thank you.

The original documents used for your test prints aren't as important as the results that your printer put out.  If you post photos or scanned images of those imperfect printouts, we can figure out what's going on from that!

Here are the nozzle print and text files. The PBGK and color patterns didn't scan so well; they actually look better on the printed page. The text patterns are somewhat worse on the printed page than the scanned image. Red arrows indicate lines of fuzzy text. Thanks again for any help with this.nozzle checknozzle check

Thank you for the information Patrick. My TR8520 is out of warranty. The problem was with a clogged print head. Even manual cleaning didn't fix the problem of fuzzy text. I installed a new print head and the printed text is now sharp and clear.
