I had to get a new Mac, and ever since have had trouble getting it to work with my Canon printer. I'm now on Big Sur version 11.5, but from the beginning it didn't work with the printer. I've installed new drivers for the printer and scanner. I can print now, but the scan function doesn't work. Gives a message that it can't work with My Image Garden. So I installed new My Image Garden software. Not only did years' worth of scans disappear, it still won't work. This is the latest message I've gotten: The scanner is assigned to ImageCapture. Do you want to use the scanner with TWAIN?
I don't have a clue what TWAIN is. First it said it wouldn't work with My Image Garden, so I updated it. Now it says this. Really tiresome. Would truly appreciate some assistance with this. Thanks.
