Hi jrhoffman75 ... thanks for responding.  I am tech-challenged and do not understand your post.  Please explain.  Thank you.

I am asking if you recently updated your computer operating system between when it worked and when it doesn’t. In other words what may have changed on your computer.

Oh … yes, I believe there was an Apple MacOS update a couple of months ago.  But I have no clue how to troubleshoot that since I only know how to navigate in the internet and MS 365.  I guess I may have to call Canon Tech support for help.  Thanks so much - I appreciate you for your interest and time in helping me.

jrhoffman75 - thanks for the reply.  Reflecting on your post, the issue scanner may have arisen after my macOS update to Sequoia 15.3.2 in late Jan./early Feb.  Since I am tech challenged, I don't know what driver or other software install I'd need to get the scanner to work again.  Any further assistance is appreciated.  Thank you.

According to the Canon support site the last time the driver was updated was for macOS13.

Was this the operating system you had before Sequoia?

I don’t have any financial connection to the company, but VueScan by Hamrick Software should get your scanner working again. I use it for a Minolta scanner that was last supported by Windows XP.

Maybe confirm with Canon support that there is no Canon driver.
