Problem with: MG7720 Canon printer

pslane1

My printer was working fine 2 days ago and today I am not getting any sign of my ink levels although they are full.  I am also getting a "printer not responding" error message of course since it is not recognizing any ink.

I have turned it off and back on.  I have run the trouble shooter. I have removed ink cartridges and set them back in.  Nothing.

Can you help?

Hi pslane1,

So we can best assist you, we would need some more information to help narrow down this issue.

  1. What version of Windows or Macintosh is installed on your computer?
  2. Is the printer connected directly to the computer with a USB cable, or wirelessly over the network?
  3. Does an error appear on the printer screen or just on the computer?

We look forward to your reply.

I am using Windows 7 on this computer.

I have my printer connected with a USB cable.

The error message was a pop up on my computer sceeen.

I checked my devices and I have 2 copies of my MG770 printer added.  Can't remember why I did that but I made the extra copy the default and it started working.  So I don't have the problem now but I guess I should go into the properties of the original copy and see what's wrong with it.

Thank you for responding.
