Pixma TS6020 suddenly can't recognize any ink tanks

My printer is about 4 years old. I replaced one tank and suddenly it can't recognize any. These are the same Canon ink tanks I always use. I took the tanks out and examined the area for foreign bodies and found none. I turned it off and back on. Is this printer kaput?

OK I figured it out. I ordered XL cartridges. They are number 281. Wrong.

I believe I have followed all of these instructions carefully. I did reinstall each ink tank just now. They lit up briefly as the carriage began to move, but they are all off now. The printer was fine until I put in a new blue cartridge on Thursday. It is a Canon but maybe there is something wrong with it.

OK I figured it out. I ordered XL cartridges. They are number 281. Wrong.
