Pixma TS 5020 Scanning documents (while offline)

jvg

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a USB cable to connect my laptop to my printer so that I can scan documents while offline.

I initially tried scanning a document to my laptop by using the menu options on the printer. Unfortunately, nothing happened. After installing the driver for my printer, I was able to successfully scan a document by using the "Canon Quick Menu" that has been installed on my laptop. The scan resulted in a JPG image, however, this is not the result I want.

This is an issue for me because:

  • I would like to use the menu on my printer rather than the "Canon Quick Menu" on my laptop.
  • I would like to import multi-page PDFs, not JPGs.

Any help troubleshooting my issue is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi jvg,

Please click HERE for the steps to scan from the printers operation panel and select what type of format to save the scan as.

If this does not work, please contact Canon's chat team for free by clicking HERE and asking for a live agent in the chat box that appears.
