Pixma MX922 will not recognize the new ink tank

I purchased new ink tanks for my Pixma MX922 printer, however, they have changed slightly in appearance and when I installed the 250XL tank I get a code 1660 and it says it can not recognize the ink tank.  I have tried contacting support but am getting no where.  Has anyone else had this issue?

From where was the PGI-250XL ink tank purchased?

Are you using genuine Canon ink tanks?
