I just got a Pixma TS7720, plugged it in and attempted to set it up but I can’t because there is an error message 1723 that the maintenance cartridge is not installed. But it is installed! I took it out and put it back in but I still can’t get past this error message! I turned off the printer and tried again but it continues to display this error message. Help! Do I have a lemon??

Thank you! This printer is brand new, right out of the box, so the maintenance cartridge was installed but isn’t being recognized or something. I tried taking it out, putting it back in and I still get the same message.

Oh. Well, then you'll want to call our team at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666). When the automated system picks up, tell it you need Tech Support. It will ask for your product - tell it you have a TS-77-20 (like seventy-seven-twenty). It'll confirm and transfer you to our expertly trained support folks. They'll get you up and running!
