PIXMA iP4920 Won't power on

I have the same issues with my Canon color printer (model Pixma iP4920 ).  It will not power on, (no green or orange indicator light).  I checked all the cables to make sure they are secure as well as multiple outlets).  I turned it off for over 10 minutes, then actually re-installed the software.  It still does not turn on.

It is strange that it has been working well for about a year with no problems, then today it doesn't work at all.

Any suggestions for other things I can try?

Hi jworley,

There are a few things to try with an issue like this:

Unplug the power cord from both ends and inspect for any damage.
Inspect the power port for bent or missing pins.
Plug the printer into a known good outlet.

If none of these things has an affect, the printer will require service. Your options at this point will be to have the printer either repaired or replaced. To have it repaired, I can locate the nearest Authorized Service Facility to you, where you can have it fixed. If the printer is out of warranty, that repair would carry a cost, depending on the nature of the fault.

If you prefer to have your printer replaced, you are eligible for Canon's Loyalty Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price, and with free FedEx Ground shipping. If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8am to Midnight ET. Let them know you have been working with email technical support and the Canon Loyalty Program was offered.

We have the same problem. Would you happen to know a close replacement, as the iP4920s are no longer produced?
