Hi,
We bought a Pixma TS8120 in 2019 in the US and moved to Europe recently. The ink (281) for the printer is not available in Europe and instead you can only buy 581. Unfortunately, the printer doesn't except 581 even though it fits and looks exactly the same.
Is there a country code in the printer that I need to reset to Europe? Is there some way to continue using the printer in Europe? I would hate to through away a perfect printer because I'm unable to purchase the ink.
Thank you!
Anjo

Hi,
There is not a code you change in the printer to have it accept ink cartridges from another counter. You can reach out to Canon in the UK to see if they any type of replacement plan to upgrade you to a printer that would work with cartridges in your area.
You may find the correct website using the map on the Canon Global website: http://global.canon/en/support/
