It says the printer is offline and the printer won't work

Greetings, 

In order for us to try and assist you, we will need to know the version and build of the operating system you're using the printer with?

Also how the printer is connected and to what?

And last have you installed any drivers, and if so which?

Connecting to Wi-Fi

Using the Printer's Control Panel

  1. Access Wi-Fi Setup
    Make sure printer is powered on. On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi setup option.

  2. Select Wi-Fi Network
    Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list. If your network does not appear, ensure your router is functioning properly.

  3. Enter Password
    Input your Wi-Fi password using the control panel.

  4. Confirm Connection
    Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation message.

Alternative Method via Smartphone

  1. Enable Wi-Fi on Smartphone
    Open your smartphone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the network that starts with "Canon_ij_".

  2. Open Canon App
    Launch the Canon app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your home Wi-Fi.

  3. Complete Setup
    After following the prompts, the printer should be connected to your Wi-Fi network.

  • Test the Connection
    Print a test page to ensure the printer is connected properly.

  • Troubleshooting
    If the printer does not connect, double-check the Wi-Fi password and ensure the printer is within range of the router.
