I have a PIXMA MG5520 still in the box new printer, never installed, purchased in 2013. I can't install the printer because the cartridges are dried up. I'd rather not purchase new cartridges until I'm certian this printer can be installed and is compatible with my system: Acer / Windows 365 / Windows 11 home.
Bottom line - is it compatible and can it be installed without the start-up disc.
Thank you

Hi Gguthmiller,
The drivers and software for your PIXMA MG5520 are available for use with Windows 11 and can be accessed from the Support Page of the PIXMA MG5520:

Does the computer have an ARM CPU, as opposed to an Intel or AMD CPU? If it's an ARM, you have a problem. Canon does not supply ARM-compatible software for the printer. You would only get some basic functionality (maybe) with Windows for ARM's built-in drivers.
