PIXMA MG5320 incompatible with MacBook M2 (Ventura OS)

My PIXMA MG5320 printer needs a firmware update to 2.0 to have AirPrint functionality.

I just got the new MacBook Pro (M2 chip) running macOS 13.5 Ventura. I downloaded the Canon IJ Network Tool to my MacBook. I can see that my printer is connected WiFi, but I can't add it as a printer. Under "Printers and Scanners", I can see the printer and it lists its kind as “Bonjour”, but I cannot add it at all. The official Cannon website is no longer hosting drivers or firmware updates that are compatible with my OS. There is message at the top that reads: "PIXMA MG5320 has been retired. Product support is no longer available. Driver and content updates are not being made".

My printer is just obsolete at this point. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG5320 is indeed an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!
