Does anyone know how to reset the default automatic margins on Canon PIXMA MG2500 series driver?
I've been changing all margins on my documents to 0cm, but there ll be always margins showed up when I printed the documents, especially the bottom so it's always cutting off the bottom of the page. So I know it must be the driver. The automatic margin that always showed up on the bottom of the page is around 1,6 cm. There's also no option on the Printing Preferences to change them. I'm using Windows 10, by the way.

This SAVED me! Canon PIXIMA MG2522 was cutting off the bottom of every document. I tried everything from manually aligning the printer head, hard reset, adjusting margins, you name it! I down loaded the adobe PDF reader app for free and no more cut off margins! Thanks for the tip, I now realize Chrome was not the best browser for this printer.

No. This does not work.

If so many people are having this same problem, Canon should issue a recall or find a real solution.
I gave up trying on my older Toshiba with win7 and fought thru the headache of downloading the driver to a newer HP with win 11. The results were exactly the same.

I suggest switching the printable area to A4 8.27x11.69 legal and only putting the 8.5x11 page moving the bottom margin into that 0.69 extra inches as i have measured the distance to be 0.66 inches in the program and physically and leaving that area blank so it literally feeds the non-existent paper for .69 inches inches but prints to the edge (0.66 inches short).

Thanks for your response.
But, I threw the pixma in the trash where it absolutely belongs.
Canon has lost credibility by putting their name on this garbage.

If anyone like me has this kind of problem, then you should do this.
Problem: Like 1 inch extra margin at the bottom of the page whenever you print on A4 using microsoft office apps only. Printing is perfect on other apps.
Fix: Be sure your printer and document size is set to a4 or any size but your printer and document size are match.
Turn off automatic A4/Letter scaling in Microsoft Word:
In Microsoft Word, go to File → Options → Advanced.
Scroll down to the Print section and uncheck the option:
“Scale content for A4 or 8.5” × 11” paper sizes”
Click OK, restart Word, and print again.
This prevents Word from automatically adjusting the layout and margins based on the printer’s paper settings. It stops the document from being pushed upward and eliminates the extra bottom margin when printing on A4 paper.
