PIXMA G7020 prints with white horizontal lines, doesn't print cyan well

Hello, I've been having some trouble with my printer (a g7020 megatank) for the past few weeks and wanted to see if anyone else had any insight as to how I might fix it. It jammed while I was printing stickers with it and since then there's been white horizontal lines across anything I print in color. I thought maybe replacing the printhead would fix it, but with the new one it has trouble printing blue ink - on the test sheet, the first line for Cyan is completely blank, but the second, lighter line prints fine, and every other color (including black) also prints completely fine.

I'm at a loss for what to do to fix it, none of the maintenance options on the printer seem to do anything. I've run regular cleaning and deep cleaning several times to no avail and running an ink flush didn't make a difference either.

This sounds like a tough one to repair, ink seems to not be getting to one of the cyan nozzles, you replace the print head so it should not be the source of the clog, but the part of the printer that feeds one of the cyan nozzles ls is no longer working correctly. Did you do a deep cleaning of the new head?

Nozzle Check

  • Conduct a Nozzle Check: This will help determine if all colors are functioning properly.
  • Check Results: If the nozzle check shows missing colors, further cleaning may be necessary.

Alignment

  • Align the Print Head: Misalignment can cause printing issues. Use the printer's settings to perform a print head alignment.

Additional Tips

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the cyan ink cartridge is not empty or low.
  • Inspect for Residual Paper: Make sure there are no small pieces of paper left inside the printer that could cause further jams.

I did a deep cleaning on the new head, yes. The cyan ink prints fine with the old head with the exception of the horizontal lines that appear in all three colors so it seems to be a problem with the new part itself? I tried aligning the print head and that made the colored ink misaligned now, is there any way to undo it?

The ink levels are all at about half and the paper that got jammed didn't tear when I removed it, so there shouldn't still be any debris blocking anything..
