Hi,
If you have performed the roller and bottom plate cleaning but the issues persists then the printer will require service.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.

Hi, I’m experiencing the exact same issue with the roller smudge when using lustre or glossy paper. Were you able to find a fix to this by chance?

I just purchased (on 3/26/2025) a new G620 and set it up yesterday with no issues. I've made only two prints, both on glossy paper, and the second print (grayscale) has a roller mark near the top center much like the one shown in Jeo's photo above, plus some scratch marks at the left near the roller mark that I don't see on his print. Oddly, the first print (color) does not have these marks. I am running Windows 11, there were no error messages, and I'm using Wi-Fi. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. I suspect I will be sending it in for warranty repair.

I forgot to upload a photo of the marks with my first post. Here is a photo, though my picture doesn't show the mark as clearly as in Jeo's photo. There is a roller mark near top center of the printed area (it's on the right in this photo, which shows the print rotated 90 degrees clockwise; sorry), plus some wavy scratches running on the left side of the mark down to about 2.5" below it.
