I have 2 Canon Pixma printers - a model G4210 and a model G7000. They are in physically different locations, on different WIFI networks. Ever since I installed the G7000, I can no longer scan on the G4210, although printing wirelessly still works fine. Scanning and printing work fine on the G7000. I've updated the G4210 drivers, but it still doesn't work. What do I need to do to get the G4210 to scan again?

Danny, thanks for reaching out. I'm running a MacBook with the Ventura 13.4.1(c) operating system. I've updated the drivers on the G4210 to the latest from Canon. Since I'm at home now, where we have the G4210, I've set that as my primary printer. Wireless printing works fine, but when I try to do a scan, the Canon utility says it cannot find a scanner. Finally, since I downloaded new Canon software when I installed the G7000, I also went back and deleted all the Canon software/utilities, and re-installed the version for the G4210 (just in case there was a difference). That did not work either. I appreciate any other suggestions to help me get this fixed.

Hi,
When you try to scan are you using IJ Scan Utility lite or opening printers and scanners and selecting the scan option?
If you are using IJ Scan Utility lite, what printer name appears when it opens and does it have the word network after the printer series number?
We look forward to your reply.

Arthur, thanks for following up. I used the Canon Quick Menu, and then the "Scan Documents" icon. The first window that pops up says:
And then after several seconds, I get the following window:
The printer, as well as my laptop, are in the same room as the wifi router. I have selected the G4210 I'm trying to scan from as my primary printer, if that makes a difference. And printing works fine, so I don't believe it's a network connection problem.

I have the same problem with a g4010. It can print but not scan. I have a Mac M1 running Ventura 13.4.1. IT used to work fine. I only have the one printer.
