NEW Pixma TS3522 wont recognize color cartridge

BRAND NEW purchased today and during set up it WILL NOT accept the colored cartridge no matter what I do. I have reset the printer over a dozen times and this is the only printer my store had -_-

adding because I'm dumb and some how forgot....
no matter what I do that online tells me to do it will not accept this colored cartridge. These are the cartridges that came with the printer.

Any possibility that all the tape hasn't been removed from the cartridge?

.....yes all the ORANGE tape has been removed
