PIXMA iX6850 won't recognize new ink cartridges

divinesho

Hi,

I got a set of new ink cartridges for my printer today and replaced all of them. Unfortunately now my printer is not recognising the new ink cartridges. The yellow light is blinking 15 times even though all the lights for each of the cartridges are on.. I have tried hold down the yellow button for 5-10 seconds but it hasn’t turned off. How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Divine

The PIXMA iX6850 may not recognize new ink cartridges due to several reasons, including compatibility issues, dirty contacts, or protective tape not being removed from the cartridges. To troubleshoot, try reseating the cartridges, cleaning the contacts, and ensuring that any protective tape is removed. The blinking light indicates the printer senses that one of the cartridges has no ink, or the protective tape is still on the cartridge.
