PIXMA TR4700 subscription ink not reading

Hey, I had a PIXMA TR4700, and a subscription to that. They kept sending ink so I have like 3 extra cartridges. That printer broke but they replaced it under the warranty. I just ran out of ink on the new one and tried to use my surplus of ink cartridges only to find out I guess it won’t recognize them because they were under a different subscription? The printer is saying it can’t recognize the cartridges, which is wicked annoying. My printer has been screaming about being low on ink for like a month, and I haven’t gotten any cartridges mailed in for those even though I’ve been paying for this subscription. I check and the old subscription for the old printer was cancelled and a new one for this one is started. What am I supposed to do here? Can I use the old cartridges if I cancel my new subscription and wait until next month (when it actually cancels) and restart that old subscription? Will it work with this printer? It’s linked to the old one. Why aren’t they sending me new ones now?

Stop with the subscription business. Buy ink when you need it. As for why the new printer won't recognize the "subscription"  cartridges, this makes no sense. Is the new printer the exact same model as the old one?

For your information: 

You don’t disable the Canon Print Plan from the printer’s control panel. You must cancel it through your Canon account:

1. Sign in to your Canon account.

2. Open Subscriptions.

3. Select PIXMA Print Plan.

4. Choose Manage or View/Edit Subscription.

5. Select Cancel Subscription and confirm.

After cancellation, remove the subscription cartridge and install regular retail ink. Subscription cartridges cannot be used once the plan is inactive. The printer may also need to remain connected to the internet while the subscription status updates.

If you only want to stop the printer from using the service but keep the subscription active, there generally isn’t a printer-menu option for that. Use standard retail cartridges instead, or cancel the plan through the account.

For a PIXMA TR4700-series printer using Canon subscription/Print Plan ink, the most likely issue is that the printer cannot verify the subscription—not a normal ink-level problem.
Try this:

1.Confirm the subscription is active. A Print Plan cartridge will not work if the subscription was canceled, expired, 

or was never activated.
2. Connect the printer to Wi‑Fi. Subscription cartridges require the printer to communicate with Canon’s service.
3. Accept the web-services license agreement on the printer or during setup. If the printer shows error 3002, the agreement may not be registered.
4. Power-cycle the printer: turn it off, unplug it for 60 seconds, reconnect it, and turn it on.
5. Remove and reinstall the cartridge:
◦ Remove only the peelable orange protective strip/cap.
◦ Don’t remove or touch the copper contacts or print nozzle.
◦ Push the cartridge firmly into the correct slot until it clicks.
◦ Make sure the cartridge lock/lever is fully closed.
6.If possible, check whether the printer recognizes a regular retail Canon cartridge. If it does, the subscription cartridge or subscription activation is the problem.
7.If the subscription is active and the error remains, request a replacement cartridge through the Print Plan account Do not use a subscription cartridge with an inactive subscription; Canon says it requires a valid active plan.
If the display says “Install ink cartridge” rather than showing error 3002, reseating the cartridge and checking that all removable orange packaging is gone are the key steps. If neither cartridge is detected after that, the cartridge chip or printer’s cartridge contacts may be defective.
