My printer has ink, but won't print black all of a sudden G6020 - HELP!!!

Hi All!

I'm really hoping someone can help as I'm in desperate need of a fix for my printer 🙂

I was printing all day and then all of a sudden it doesn't want to print black and giving me Error 5200.

We refilled all of the colours, performed the ink flush, did all of the maintenance checks, manually flushed out the black printer head and it's still giving the Error 5200. And when we did the ink flush, none of the black ink went down.

I use this printer daily and when I need it the most, it doesn't want to work 😞

Does my printer head need to be replaced?

Hi,

Since the cleanings and ink flush did not resolve the issue, there may be a issue with the print head.

If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.

If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
