I got a new router/modem and my Apple Mac Book Air works fine but the printer has been a disaster. I am able to copy and scan still from the printer but every time I go to print docs the computer print que shows "Printer Ready" and as soon as I hit print it reverts to "there is no connection". There is also a yellow ball with a flash insignia showing in front on the printer output tray. Other times the printer will operate like normal but the output is always blank . The story gets worse. As I was trying multiple fixes from the downloaded manual I got from the Canon website, updated printer drivers, internet help resources, I inadvertently deleted the printer from my system. I have been trying to recover ever since.
By the way I have no disk drive in my Mac, so as far as using the original CD Rom Set-up disk to reinstall the printer, it won't help

You can download the drivers/software from here, so you won't need the CD.
