Printer spits out blank pages and prints from random parts of the page - New Canon Pixma TS3355

Hello, 

I recently bought a new Canon Pixma TS3355 printer and I have been having trouble getting it to print correctly. I am trying to print a document with 4 pages, and when I do, 1 of 2 things happens. Either it will say that it has printed without actually printing anything or making any sound, or it will spit out some of the pages blank and then start printing at a random part of one of the pages. I've printed out a test page, which came out fine, but now I'm at a total loss as to what the problem is.
