My Image Garden not seeing Pixma MX922

MJD1
Apprentice

I have a new (couple of months) Pixma MX922.  I created disk labels with My Image Garden.  Tried for the first time to print to a printable disk and got the following message:

"Cannot print because a printer supported by this software is not installed."

I am using a Macbook Pro running Sierra 10.12.1, and the printer is the default on my printer list, so obviously my computer is seeing the printer.

Any thoughts on why I cannot get Canon's own software to see their printer on my home network?  Bums me out, as the three disks I was going to print were going to be Christmas presents for family members.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi MJD1,

Please try reinstalling My Image Garden, using the latest version available from Canon's web site:

https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/inkjet-multifunction/mx-s...

Once reinstalled, please attempt to print on your discs again.

Thanks for replying. I did reinstall, with a Canon rep on the line, and it still did not print. I also tried that other downloadable software, and it also would not print. I ended up printing from the "Preview" program on my Mac straight to the disc, but it was just a picture, not a true label with wording, etc. Do you know of something else I could try? Thanks again for your help!!
