Methods I've tried:
1) Replaced the ink cartridge with new original Canon cartridges.
2) Unplugged the power for 10 mins.
...still it flashes to this day. Appreciate any advice.

This particular model is not sold here in the United States. If you are outside of the United States, check to make sure that the correct ink cartridges are being used with the printer.
