Ink door to MG3600 won't open

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG3600 series.  The model number should be on the front of the unit at the lower right corner.  That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

Is this a new printer? Is it an MG3620? If so the printer has to be powered on and the printer carriage must move all the way to the right for the cartridge door to open. There is also an orange shipping protector on the backside of the printer that needs to be removed as seen here:
