Thanks for joining the conversation, resawd21!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know which Canon printer model you have, exactly which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or macOS, and which version thereof), and which applications you're trying to print from. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

Using an HP computer with W10 operating system.  Printer being used is a Canon TR8520.

Does the .tiff file open correctly on your computer? If so, the printer doesn't care what kind of file it is.

The computer is not sending the actual .tiff file ( or .jpeg or whatever) to the printer. Translating a file to something the printer understands is the function of the printer driver installed on the computer.

Do other image files, .tiff or otherwise, print correctly?

TIFF files open for viewing with no problem.  I downloaded several pics, some TIFF and some not.  I tried printing them onEasy Photo Print Editor.  The non TIFF's printed fine but the TIFF's would not even show up in the Editor.

"the TIFF's would not even show up in the Editor"

That sounds like an issue with the software program, not the printer.

What is "Easy Photo Print Editor"? Do you mean "Easy PhotoPrint EX"? That's not an editing program.

Do you have an editing program that can change a .tiff to a .jpeg?

Greetings ,

Lets take a step back.

Windows 10 OS

For thoroughness, how is the printer connected and to what?  Wi-Fi, USB or Ethernet?

What drivers for the printer were installed? Please be specific.  You can use the link below for reference.

Everything prints, except .tiff files?

What normadel stated is true.  The printer doesn't care what the file type is.

You mentioned you downloaded these files. Some opened, some wouldn't.  This indicates a problem with the file or application you are using.  Not your Canon product.

.tiff files are not supported by EasyPhotoPrint editor.  See the link below:

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

*Edit - I hadn't refreshed the page and seen John's replies above.  😀
