I have canon prixma 100. should I use 1/2 pro luster or 3 pro luster paper?

what is the reason/s for why I should choose canon phot paper pro luster 1/2 over the photo paper pro 3 when I set up the canon paper profile?

½ is a higher quality print level than 3. Try printing a photo with both and see which you prefer more. If you can't see a difference use 3.
