How to make the print outs darker on the Canon TR4720? Thanks!

Hi morrisdan1,
If you are using Windows, print quality can be adjusted in the driver. Please use the following link to view more details:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/PrinterDriver/W/TR4700%20series/1.0/EN/PPG/dg-print3.html
If you are using a Mac, the TR4720 uses Airprint, so the available printing options can be viewed in the Print window that appears before printing begins. The options that appear are based on the application.

Ok, I checked the link provided. However, I'm still not sure what's the interrelationship in adjusting the print quality and making the prints darker? Please advise. Thanks.

Usually, the higher the print quality, the more dots or pixels per inch, the more ink it uses to print, thus making a print darker. It does print slower however. Set it for draft and the print is lighter and draft has the highest print speed.
