HELPPPP! - PIXMA TS8322 Pictures print blank but documents are OK

Hi ! I have a canon printer TS8322. I got it for everyday printing and for pictures. 
I need help fixing it please. I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out why my printer is printing blank pictures. So it prints regular print jobs/files. But when I try to change the settings to print out a picture, it makes the printing sound and the paper comes out blank 😭 I’ve tried everything! I’ve tried printing from their apps, from my phone gallery, and it still prints blank pics.
I’ve tried cleaning it from the settings, the nozzle, rear roller cassette, EVERYTHING and NOTHING FIXES THE PROBLEM. it still has ink or it wouldn’t be printing out my regular stuff. I’m brain fried and I need help. No errors pop up. It “receives” the picture and my phones shows that it’s sending it to the printer and it simply prints my pics blank. Someone please help 😞

Hi Ari_M,

Please load plain paper into your TS8322 and then follow these steps:

1.  Please tap the gear icon at the bottom of your printer's display.

2.  Tap Maintenance.

3.  Tap Nozzle check and then Yes.

A page will print.

Please take a photo or scan the test page that you just printed and please attach it to your reply of this post.

Hi, I believe I tried that as well, and it printed fine, it shows like the A or B thing and a rectangle that you have to match to what it shows on the screen, I’ve really tried everything 🥲💔 I’ve tried everything on the maintenance section. Again it prints everything fine in regards to Regular printing files, it only acts up when I try to print pictures Or when I try to print anything from the rear tray Whether I print it from the Canon app or directly from my iPhone, The rear printer section is where a prince blank pictures. But again, If I print regular files from my phone or from the Canon app, it prints just fine.

Please print the test page.  Once printed, please take a photo of that page and attach it to your reply of my post.  Knowing what the test page looks like will help greatly in this case.

It looks like your printer is only using the black pigment ink. 

Have you tried running the cleaning function?

Hi (:

 which cleaning function? I’ve gone down the list of cleaning functions on the printer settings. If you tell me which one maybe I can try it again. I don’t know anything about printers so I really don’t know what I’m doing 😭

Can someone please help me !! I have not been able to fix my printer ! 😭

Hi Ari_M,

If performing multiple deep cleanings does not get the colors to print correctly, your PIXMA TS8322 would require service.  If your PIXMA TS8322 was purchased less than a year ago, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat to obtain your in warranty options. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

Once logged in, click on your PIXMA TS8322 and then click on the Product Support button.  When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support.

If your PIXMA TS8322 is out of warranty, you are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.
