I have a Pixma G7020 printer which is about 2 years old. I don't use it much, maybe a few black/white text pages a week and a few (maybe up to 10-20) color pictures a month. However, recently (within the last 2-3 months) the color images started being discolored and have a lot of horizontal streaks running through it. See attached image. This was supposed to be a regular color image with green leaves and colorful flowers. I end up having to run the cleaning and deep cleaning multiple times just to try to print a normal looking image and after numerous attempts (I'm talking like 3-4 times of the cleaning and deep cleaning back to back) I still end up not getting it fixed. Sometimes there is almost no improvement. But occasionally it will work after the cleaning and will print normal. Any ideas how to permanently fix?

Hi,
Since it reverts back after cleanings it sounds like there is a issue with the print head and the printer would need to be replaced.
Since the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
