My computer sees this printer over USB, but won't let me use it without selecting a driver, which there is none. I'd prefer to print over USB, not airprint. I've restarted everything, but I don't see a way around the lack of driver.

Greetings,
Please see the Software Menu on the TS8320's support page (High Sierra) for additional software.
The TS8300 series Setup package (Mac) should help.

Hi davidandora,
The PIXMA TS8320 uses the built in printing system of Mac, Airprint. With the printer on and the USB cable connected to your computer, open Printers & Scanners in System Preferences and click the Add button ( [+] ). You will see the printer listed as USB in this window. Click the Add button and your printer will be installed.
