I've done all the cleanings, and put new ink cartridges in, but these lines keep happening. Is there a way to remove the cartridge holder to clean, or is it something else? TIA

I completely understand, but think that there may be a simple solution to this, so was hoping someone else may have encountered this issue and found the cure.

Well, I pretty much fixed it. Took the cartridges out, cleaned the bottoms, then using some absorbent paper and Q-tips cleaned the cartridge carrier as much as I could, including underneath. Virtually eliminated the horizontal lines, and curly marks on the right side. This printer is really old, but looking at reviews of new ones in it's price range, and even more, they all get numerous horrible reviews, and many fail after a few months. It also may be the remanufactured ink cartridges I'm using lately, but it's okay now. I just use it for basic stuff like invoices anyway.
