Well boo. Let me take a look.

Hello!!

I sincerely apologize for the frustration this is causing you. Registration shouldn't be this difficult, and this isn't normal at all, but I will resolve it for you. I promise.

I just spoke with two different engineering teams. The serial numbers were updated in one system but failed to update in another. 🤦🏻

They pushed the update out to the impacted systems, and everything should update overnight. If it doesn't, please let me know.

SUCCESS!  FINALLY GOT IT REGISTERED TODAY THANK YOU SO MUCH STEPHEN!

You're very welcome! I'm glad the stars aligned and everything processed as it should! 😊

I, too, bought a TR4722 in store from my local walmart, and I, too, am running into issues when trying to register it. I am about to see if I'm able to use it without registering it but I would like to be able to register as well if possible. Please let me know what I'd need to do if you still are willing to help. Thank you!

Greetings,

You won't be able to contact support until Monday. If a moderator sees this, he/she might be able to start looking into this for you.

Please confirm that your printer came with a US Warranty card.

The telephone number for support is 1-800-652-2666

You could try to register it in Canada maybe?

https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/ca/register

Encouraging someone to register a product which may have been intended for sale in another country or region will do little for them.  There won't be a warranty in the United States so they essentially have no service/support or warranty in the country were they or their product may reside.

Unless someone understands and is willing to accept this risk, grey market products should be returned as unregistrable in the country or region it was sold in to.

Best to not register in Canada unless you live there then. I am surprised that a USA Walmart is selling out of the country large item electronics like a Canon printer.

Hey, mmckay,

Were you able to get this registered yet at https://canon.us/account
If not, let me know by email (I don't want your personal account info floating around). The best email for me is CUSA_Social@cusa.canon.com a handful of people on my very small team have access to that box, so please make sure to put attention stephen re: tr4722 registration issues (or something).
I'll need your Canon Account email address, the name and address on your canon account, and the gear you're registering (your printer)
for your printer, i need the serial number, date of purchase, place of purchase, etc. if you have a receipt or invoice, it's helpful to send a copy of that (if it's paper, send me an image that i can easily read) - that way i can just take the info from the receipt. (the serial number won't be on the paperwork - it's on the back of the unit - you can take a picture of it - that's easiest).

one last thing to try before you compose an email and go through the hassle of taking pictures, let's try to see if this takes care of it: http://ij.start.canon/tr4722
